Hello
Is there a way of limiting loan stats in a decisions query to those that were done on self service machines?
I am able to do this by running sql on our MIS server console limiting the CREATE_OPERATOR to "Self Issue" but trying to do that in business objects brings back 0 results.

I'm not sure how you are setting the condition but the best route is to use the option to select from a list of values.

1) this will give you the list of operators that exist and 2) when the universes were created the operator object was made up of the the OPERATOR.NOTE and OPERATOR.OPERATOR_ID attributes added together separated by a space e.g.

substring(dbo_LOAN_OPERATOR.NOTE,1,25) +' ' + dbo_LOAN_OPERATOR.OPERATOR_ID

This means that if there is no Note there is still a space before the operator value e.g. " talis", " report".

The object help says

Quote:
Reports the name (if defined) and id of the operator who performed the issue/renew/discharge. This object contains the first 25 characters of the operators note, a space and then the operator id. It is advised that when used as a condition the operator values are selected from a list of values.

This may be missed when entered in manually so it is best to use the list of values if possible.

Thanks

Hello Brian
Self Issue isn't in the list of loan operators in Decisions - but you can identify this user if writing sql on the server.

That is because the Self Issue operator is entered in the LOAN table but is not in the OPERATOR table. For Decisions the OPERATOR table needs a value but Bridge does not.

You need to add the Self Issue operator into the OPERATOR table.

See the Solution:

Thanks
